A post race penalty took the win away but this left the team determined and hungry as they went on to win the last race of the season in Texas at Circuit of the Americas. Thomas completed the trifecta in that race, turning the fastest lap, move of the race and the win. The most fulfilling part for Thomas was his ability to give his crew chief and former NASCAR driver, Brian Keselowski his first official victory as a crew chief. When the dust settled, his final tally in his first pro year was a victory, a pole position, two fastest laps, four podiums and Mazda MX5 Cup Move of The Year.

Given NASCAR’s emphasis on oval racing, Thomas showcased his skills in the CPLMS (Carolina Pro Late Model Series), securing two victories and five pole positions. Thomas and the no. 90 Nerd Focus Nitro Motorsports team are looking to carry this momentum into the 2024 Trans Am season as he sets his sights on a full year with the team and the series.  As Thomas continues to climb up the ladder of Pro racing, his next step will be to compete part time in the NASCAR ARCA series to kick off 2024.

Thomas’ first time in an ARCA car will be at Daytona’s 2 day Pre-Race test from January 13-14th and his inaugural race will also be at the infamous Daytona International Speedway February 7th. Round one of the Trans Am TA2 series begins at Sebring Raceway February 22-25th and hopes to secure a championship in his first full year in the series.
